Rebecca Crowell's work is so strong and clear. Not clear like an explanation, but like
an atmosphere, or medieval music... that simple beauty where every part
counts.
Anthony Falcetta, painter
This website features a selection of abstract paintings mostly created since 2006. My home and studio are in rural Wisconsin, where I have a connection with the landscape that feeds my nature-based imagery.
My work is handled by fine art galleries in the US in Santa Fe, Minneapolis, Scottsdale, St. Louis, and in Madison and Door County, Wisconsin.
Most of my paintings are made up of individually painted wood panels, placed together to evoke a feeling, an idea, a place, or an aspect of nature. The divisions between the panels provide structure to what is otherwise organic, flowing imagery. Other paintings are complete on a single panel.
Thank you very much for exploring my website. I welcome comments, inquiries and additions for my mailing list. For current happenings and musings about art, please visit my blog. Older paintings for sale may be seen at The Painting Archives, my second blog.

Upcoming exhibits this fall: Solo show at Darnell Fine Art in Santa Fe, NM, opens October 2, 2009; I will also participate in a group exhibit at Perlow Stevens Gallery in Columbia, MO, that opens Oct. 10, 2009.
